Amano Shrimps , Algae Eating Shrimp - Live Aquarium Shrimp

SF Aquatic Amano Shrimp (Caridina multidentate), also known as Yamato Shrimp, are one of the most popular and hardy freshwater aquarium species. They grow about twice as large as dwarf shrimp, attaining a maximum size of over two inches, and they typically live a much longer lifespan! Their bodies are clear with an aqua blue tint, and are covered in small, dark red dots. Like most shrimp, Amano Shrimp live in large colonies and spend most of their time foraging for food. A colony of them will often eradicate even the most persistent growth on plants and decor, sometimes even clearing aquarium glass. However, they do not bother live plants. In a less mature aquarium, they can be fed high quality flake and mini pellet dry foods with high spirulina/plant content. Other dwarf shrimp species are also compatible, such as Orange Sakura Shrimp, Green Jade Shrimp, and Blue Diamond Shrimp. Amano Shrimp (Caridina multidentata) are freshwater pet shrimp. Their diet can be supplemented with shrimp food, fish food, flakes, wafers, spirulina, etc. The Amano shrimp we send range from 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches in length.
